Kathy Evans, recycling activist in Berkeley for more than 50 years passed away March 4, 2025 in Oakland after a vigorous struggle with cancer. For the last few years Kathy served as Community Conservation Center’s (CCC) Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer for the Board of Directors, but her influence has spanned decades.
There will be a celebration of Kathy’s life on April 30th at 12-3pm. See post for more information.

Place your appliances in the area marked “large appliances”.

Find the appropriate bins for your paper recyclables in the drop-off area.
Deposit your recyclable paper in the appropriate bin.
Hard-bound books (dark blue bin on left). Cardboard and brown bags (light blue bin in center).
There are also paper drop-off bins in the Buyback area.
